"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined!"
Henry David Thoreau
Kudos from Past Retreats:
"My first Milagro Retreat was in Baja almost four years ago. At age 50, I decided to take on the challenge of learning to surf. That experience was top notch, and I have since enjoyed two additional retreats in Tofino. Shani and her cohorts have managed to get the mix pretty well perfect: stimulating participants, extraordinary locations, opportunities for activity and relaxation, experienced and joyful staff, and food that is prepared with loving attention, then devoured with delight. Thanks Milagro, I will be back!"
"You have not only contributed to our individual growth and transformation... you have also vicariously had a positive impact on our families. Thank you!"
~ Lisa Elliot
"A great job bringing people together with just the right amount of energy. I really got a lot from just the retreat environment and atmosphere."
~ Cathy Robertson
2 optional days will be spent at Cerritos Beach, the best beach for swimming and learning to surf. 2 hour lessons with Mario's Surf School will get you up and riding waves. They share the fundamentals of surfing in a safe friendly environment. Keep the board for the rest of the day to practice your new techniques.
Yoga & Movement
Our yoga journey will be progressively based on the properties of the 7 chakras. Each day will grow from the experience of the previous as we explore grounding, fluidity, strength, compassion and courage, truth, understanding and an appreciation for our connection with the world around us and the people with whom we share it.
John Paul Tamblyn has dedicated his years as a teacher to helping people find an understanding of the yoga practice that will best serve them in their personal development, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
His classes are often rooted primarily in the practice of asana (physical yoga practice) but are infused with meditation, pranayama, and the philosophy of yoga. Many of his students come to class seeking initially the physical benefits of yoga and find not only their strength and flexibility, but also compassion, confidence, connection, contentment and, perhaps the most valuable gift of yoga - peace.
JP is the Founder of Ahimsa Yoga Centre in Toronto, Canada.
