Yoga with Michelle Sen-Ayau
Michelle has combined her experience and training in Ashtanga, Iyengar and Sivananda Yoga to bring her own twist (pardon the pun) to this ancient healing art. She will take you lovingly through a variety of Vinyasa flows to energize and strengthen the body. Seated Asana practice will be explored to open the body and restorative practice will help to heal and release the nervous system. This structured yet flowing practice seeks to relax and still the body with gentle hands on adjustments and the learning of proper alignment to balance the subtle energy bodies. Breathwork will be used to focus the mind and meditation to center the spirit. Previous yoga experience is helpful but not mandatory. Suitable for all levels.Tribal/Fusion Style Belly Dance with Airakah Bottolfson
Airakah has been a student of the Sacred Art of Belly Dance for the past 5 years. She began sty dying the Tribal/Fusion style in California before journeying to Hawaii. Here on the Big Island, she has been teaching progressive classes and workshops for 3 years. She has also founded the Maahiyyah Dance Troop and performance guild. "As a teacher I am blessed to always be learning from my students and other dancers. Together we celebrate this ancient art and infuse it with our own creative styles."African dance and drumming with Michal Anna Carrillo
As a student and teacher of West African dancing and drumming, Michal is continually learning and growing, and thrives on sharing her passion with others. She is the founder and director of Lava Roots Dance & Drum Company, whose members share their love of music and movement through dance, drum and song, performing throughout the Big Island.
A published poet and dancer with 15 years varied experience, Michal is dedicated to the ever unfolding expression of the soul. The true essence of what Michal brings to her art, is the gift of aloha and the freeing of the body, mind and spirit.
